Albatross Lending Group, a specialist lender in the UK property and SME finance markets, is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Ruttle as Non-Executive Chair of the board.
Richard brings over 40 years of expertise in business development, strategy, and leadership. A former Global Partner at EY, he has led major accounts including Royal Dutch Shell, GSK, and Procter & Gamble, and served as Global Client Experience Leader across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Since 2021, he has run Topdog: Advisory and Coaching, helping senior leaders and teams enhance business development, client engagement, and leadership skills. He is also the co-author of the best-selling book Top Dog: Impress and Influence Everyone You Meet.
Richard has held senior roles at eg.1 Global (CEO Market Intelligence), Capgemini, Ernst & Young Consulting, Price Waterhouse, and Barclays, specialising in large account growth, business transformation, and client strategy. His experience in mentoring high-performing teams and driving strategic growth with support Albatross Lending Group’s commercial development and broker partnerships.
At Albatross, Richard will work closely with the executive team to strengthen commercial strategy, enhance broker and partner engagement, and provide mentorship to the business development and lending teams. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and equipping it’s teams with world-class guidance in client relationship management, deal structuring and strategic growth.
